May 17 - The JNC spent this week in Chicago, negotiating with United management. The committee has remained focused on our work, despite the minor distractions out on the line, and completed a number of proposals and counter proposals which have been passed to the company.
May 14 - As you know, we continue to develop our proposals based on the interests of Flight Attendants from Continental, Continental Micronesia and United. When we receive counter proposals from management we are trying to address their interests while staying true to your priorities and expectations expressed in our call for proposals and surveys.
May 10 - Having already developed proposals and language for about two thirds of the topics in our Contracts, it’s a good time to review the process the JNC is using to do that work. This might be old information for some Flight Attendants, but new for others, and it doesn’t hurt to ensure all members have a complete understanding of how the JNC is doing the work.
Apr 26 - In the last OurUnited Newsletter the JNC told you about management's intransigence in their commitment to aggressively pursue an agenda to replace the language in our current Contracts with their company policy.
Apr 12 - The JNC has just completed its fifth week of negotiations with management in Orlando, Florida.
Apr 5 - The Master Executive Councils (MEC) for Continental, Continental Micronesia and United Airlines held special meetings yesterday and today for the purpose of reviewing the proposed Contract language for the following 11 subjects
Mar 22 - The JNC has just concluded our fourth direct negotiations session with management in Houston this week.
Feb 22 - The JNC has completed our third negotiations session with United Airlines management this week in Seattle.
Jan 18 - The JNC has completed a second negotiations session with United Airlines management this week in Los Angeles.
Dec 14 - We return from last week's meeting with a renewed sense of vigor and purpose.
Dec 7 - After months of work, your JNC came to our first session with 15 proposals to present to United. In the end we were only able to show them 3.
Dec 4 - Today, we are moving into the information exchange phase of our negotiations and we will be meeting with management representatives in Chicago.
Nov 16 - The JNC has just completed two very productive weeks in Chicago.
Oct 19, 2012 - The JNC has just wrapped up a two full weeks of negotiations preparations in Chicago. As we briefly reported to you last week we have been researching our respective Contract provisions and industry practices.
